After many more visits to Blue Comet, I am updating my review with more tips.
1. The drinks are very good. They have some special cocktails now, but you cannot fail with a martini.
2. No kids allowed.
3. The back patio is like a hidden secret. It's the best place to eat outside in the area on a nice evening.
4. Cash only.
5. Parking can be found in the lot on Easton, but that is often full. You can street park or park in the SEPTA lot.
6. Great pillow mints to grab on the way out. -

Attentive, friendly servers. Great food, and creative cocktail menu. The food I've had is always fresh, an a well-seasoned. Great french fries! I also like the ambience. It's a dark, small bar. Has a retro vibe. Only downside I see is that they are cash only and there's no ATM in the space (there's a PNC bank right across the street). It bugs me when places don't take credit cards (do people still carry cash? I guess so), but that wouldn't stop me from going back to Blue Comet.
Most of the one star reviews on here sound nit-picky or fake. Has anyone else noticed most of the one star reviews are from users with no profile pictures!? Seems odd. And someone complained they got cut off after six drinks in three hours?? Yeah buddy, sorry. Go home and get blasted. And for people complaining that they don't allow kids? ...It's a bar. There are plenty of kid friendly places around Glenside. Also, Blue Comet is tiny. There's no room for bulky strollers. FYI -

This is a classic chill bar. The bartenders are attentive and friendly, and the food is good bar food. The cocktails are all well made and the beer is cold. Go there on a Sunday afternoon to get away. No sports on the TV, just TMC.

The blue comet is a great bar/restaurant. They serve 6 dollar martinis all day, but also have a variety of specialty cocktails that are a throw back to the 60s. You can not go wrong with a old fashioned here. The food is also good. Oddly enough, their meatloaf is what I end up ordering most often, but the peanut butter bacon burger and the French onion soup are a close second and third.

Huge fan of the Blue Comet Bar and Grill. Came by based on a recommendation from a local and was not disappointed.
Food 5/5: delicious! Portion sizes were great, especially considering the low price. The cheeseburger club was delicious! Definitely try it with rye bread. The mozzarella sticks are not simply frozen mozz sticks microwaved like a lot of bars. Fries were good too.
Price 5/5: I'm not familiar with costs in the area, but based on central Jersey and NYC pricing I was shocked at how affordable everything was here. Full lunch meals under $10, most beers around $2.5 - $5. Side dishes were under $8 each.
Atmosphere 5/5: super cute retro vibe. Large black booths with hard wood siding, there's plenty of room for large groups or a 2 person meal. The bar is long and seats plenty. The decor is very vintage with a ton of antiques on display, funny vintage posters, and an adorable outdoor area in the back.
Service 5/5: our waitress was super helpful, offering suggestions on top dishes and best beers. Very attentive, and we met the owner who made sure our visit was top notch.
